Total Pants!

Pants or trousers as we UK folks call them,whatever you call them, I found some great ones today. Teamed with some other goodies I picked up at DCNY and EMO-tions.

52 Weeks of Colour- Electric Lime

..and the 52 Weeks of Colour circus rolls into town waving it's electric lime flag.

When I saw the colour swatch on Luna's blog, I thought this week was going to be a a tricky one.

Thanks to the new outlet at Baiastice it turned out not to be. That combined with another trip to the bargain basement at Sn@tch and a fortuitous group gift from Deco and I had my electric lime in the bag.

Electric lime is not a colour I would choose to wear so luckily this was an economical week, the capri pants were L$40 and the sweet velvet tank a frugalista friendly L$45 for a pack of eight colours.

Ruby Slippers

I am loving this dress, the texture is so good you can almost feel the satin against your skin and the colour is just perfect.

The detail around the collar is flawless.It's one of the nicest cheongsam I have seen and it's one of the instore group gifts at +Lika Ruby+

 The second dress can be worn as a short dress or by adding the prim attachment a more elegant look (not shown)

I picked up the latest group gift from Ncore, elegant, stylish and dare I say a  whole lot smexy heels. As always there is a feature packed hud to change the skin colour, metal colour, pedicure and even the option to change the foot to match your favorite stockings/hose.

52 Weeks of Colour-Teal

Yay! Here I am. I have been preoccupied with my SL Kitty's (surreptitiously brushing cat fur from clothes)

This is a quick,'cross your fingers' and hope for the best entry for 52 WOC.

The dress looks emerald green to me but Ms Neferia Abel begs to differ and lists the dress as 'teal'.

 A more sophisticated/stepford wife dress for this weeks challenge and like all true glove wearing type Laydeeees I headed off for a day at the spa to recouperate from all my posing and preening.

Plastik Fantastik

Picture heavy post.

Firstly excuse the unrezzed nastiness in some of the pics I am trying out the Firestorm Viewer. I wanted to use multiple tattoo layers and well hmm let's just say I am having a few teething probs with it.

Get your keys, charter a plane, hitch a ride, call a cab, hop skip and jump to.... BUT get to Plastik for the Lazy Sunday bargain- 'The Ataciara-Elven-Muted'  fat pack of skins for L$75 and boy are they cute.10 makeups included (cleavage and non cleavage options)

They don't come with a hair base so I chose to wear them a hair base from Unbra,a darker eyebrow tattoo by Exile and tattoo lashes and lipgloss from Glamorize, but they are really cute without too.

I have only lightly edited these pics, brightened and resized that's it, the skins are really this beautiful.

I am far from Elven in SL and was a bit reluctant to try them out but they work on us non Elven type folks too.

I will let the pictures (unrezzed as they are) speak for themselves.

52 Weeks of Colour-Red

Red for passion, Red for danger, Red for STOP..OK I will stop with the redologies (yep I made up a word)

I was spoiled for choice as red seems to be everywhere at the moment.

I finally chose the body suit from A&A which was staggeringly inexpensive at L$14 another great valentines/sales promo. It's quite revealing and shows your bum off yikes!

 

It reminded me of an ice skating costume sort of so I grabbed the free ice skates from V Style on the Marketplace.

I wanted some really red nails and I found them at Glamorize. They have a great selection of nails in every colour you could possibly want or need and they wont break the bank (or your nails) at L$25. My earrings are a Valentines freebie from  Glamorize too.

Frugal Pink

A quick post to let you  know about a store I discovered today (via Vain group chat) 'La Femme'.

Unfortunately the store is closing down and all items are now L$25. There isn't a huge amount of stuff there but it's definitely worth a look.

I picked up this cute dress/shirt/blouse, it's very pretty and ultra feminine.

The boots I am wearing at from 'Glad Rags' yet another store which is going out of business, they cost me the princely sum of  L$5 a simple classy boot for your inventories.

Who's in the house?

/me raises hand..that would be me, well in the Fashion House at least.

Fashion House is another of those great bargain price designer events.

 

There are lots of goodies to buy including the amazing Chiffon Safari Skirt by The Secret Store (L$50) and the truly beautiful Acid & Mala' Human Eyes' in Moss and Straw. The pack includes different combinations,constricted and dilated pupil, lighter and darker iris and eye prims (not worn in pics) (L$50)

The talented Elika Tiramisu has a new release, one of which is the short pixie cut 'Early'.

I hurried off to grab a demo and discovered there is a five colour pack of 'Early' in the VIP group. The group has a L$250 join fee and totally worth it. I don't know how long the hair will stay in the group notices so hurry if you want to grab it.

Impress the neighbours

V day is fast approaching, not my most favourite day I am visiting the anti valentines camp this year.

My lingerie drawer has a layer of dust on it as thick as Brooke Shields eyebrows..(sobs quietly for a second)

Being without the obligatory hot( but thoughtful partner) this valentines shouldn't stop us buying nice lingerie should it? Even if it's just to hang outside on our washing lines to fool the neighbours into thinking we had a risque St Valentines night :)

For all you loved up Ladies treat your fella to a Valentines Day he wont forget and take a trip to Ema's Secret where you will find all manner of smexy loveliness.

I am very taken with the 'Sensual Laced' pants which also include (but not worn in the pic below) a black tshirt and bra. The detailing around the waist is well done and very eye catching.

Key to Success

Lots of hunts and sales still going on around SL.

I checked out the 10$L Golden Key hunt at R.icelli, you are looking for gold keys which are really easy to find.

I took a quick look around and found the items I wanted without too much of a problem. I didn't get everything as some of the items I just didn't like.

 

I have been buying hair AGAIN...it's a kind of sickness I think, I couldn't  resist a hair/hat combo at TDRB or the cute symmetrical bob from Mikan and the Opening  Group Gift from Mach was a no brainer.

Utility Clothing

I have a pretty extensive inventory in SL, maybe small compared to some people's, I have heard  of inventories at 100k.

I try to keep a tight rein on my spending in SL (don't always succeed) and try to get as much wear out of a single item of clothing.

Friends sometimes remark on how inventive I am in utilising items into different styles or looks. It just makes sense to me to get as much usage from an item of clothing.

With this is mind I want to show you an idea I thought of today using the Sn@tch 'Salon Blouse'. The shirt comes in a pack of EIGHT different colours (just using the black here) and cost L$125 in the winter sale.

52 Weeks of Colour-Black

An easy week I thought Black I have lots and lots of. Wrong! I must have tried 20 different combinations of black none of which was really doing it for me.

Standing defeated on my pose-stand, black swimming before my eyes, a sale notice from Sn@ tch dropped onto my screen and I ran right over.

My eyes zeroed in on the coat and at 50$L a mega bargain. The Winter Sale at Sn@tch runs until February 7

Tp'd home threw on the coat and the little green light over my head started blinking...outfit confirmed!

Once I had the coat, the accessories were easy to put together. Starting with a gorgeous hat that I never have the chance to wear, some lace tights (pantie-hose) a dramatic makeup, over sized stud earrings and the really great watch pendant from the Seasons Hunt.
